Hitachi has a long history of developing open MRI systems with “Patient-Friendly” as the basic concept. An OVAL Patient Bore is the result of succeeding this tradition and continuing to pursue “Patient-Friendly”. Because a patient lying on the table gives an oval shape, the bore is extended in an oval shape and provides those with wide shoulder length or those who are claustrophobic with a comfortable examination zone so that they can be in a relaxing condition.
The examination space is expanded by approximately 40% compared with conventional models (when the spine coil is used, compared with our models). There is an enough space even for large-built patients so that they can be in a relaxing condition during examinations.
